Zenzi Beach is a long-standing all-day beachfront bar and restaurant on Calle 10, near the lighthouse in central Playa del Carmen. What sets Zenzi apart from every other beach club in the city is its live music programming — two live bands perform nightly from 5 PM to midnight, covering rock, blues, salsa, cumbia, and reggae. The music quality is consistently excellent, and the open-air beachfront setting makes it one of the best live music venues in the Riviera Maya.
Beyond the music, Zenzi offers free salsa lessons three times per week, samba lessons on Sundays, fire-twirling shows, and an all-you-can-eat BBQ every Sunday from 2 to 6 PM. During the day, sunbeds with shade are available on the beach with a resident DJ providing background vibes.
There is no formal day pass or cover charge. A typical meal runs approximately 400–500 MXN per person (~$22–28 USD), making Zenzi one of the more budget-friendly beachfront options. The restaurant serves breakfast through late-night, and the bar stays open until 2 AM, making it a true day-to-night venue.
