Hard Rock Golf Club Riviera Maya is the closest championship golf course to downtown Playa del Carmen. Located inside the gated Playacar resort community, it sits just a short walk from 5th Avenue and the beach. The 18-hole, par-71 course was designed by Robert Von Hagge and features lush tropical landscaping, water hazards, and wildlife including iguanas and tropical birds.
What makes Hard Rock unique among Riviera Maya courses is its all-inclusive green fee. Your round includes unlimited food and beverages both on the course and in the clubhouse, an open bar, a shared GPS-equipped golf cart, unlimited practice balls at the driving range, and locker room access with showers. If your hotel is outside Playacar, transportation to and from the course is also included at no extra charge.
Green fees range from $130 to $220 USD depending on tee time. Early morning slots (7:00–8:00 AM) run about $160, mid-morning around $170, and the 11:00 AM tee time offers the best value at $150. Twilight rates in the afternoon drop to around $130. Junior golfers aged 13–17 pay $75. Club rental is available for approximately $60–70 if you do not bring your own.
The course layout winds through the Playacar residential area with well-maintained fairways and greens. It is not the most challenging course in the Riviera Maya, but the combination of convenient location, all-inclusive perks, and solid course conditions make it an excellent choice for social golfers, couples, and groups who want a fun round followed by dinner on 5th Avenue.
Book tee times online through the Hard Rock website or third-party services like Tee Times Riviera Maya. During high season (November through April), booking at least a few days in advance is recommended.
